Accessibility Testing Results

Logging in requires the use of Re-Catcha but other forms tend to work well and there is no rich text editor. Keyboard navigation and linearisation of the website is possible. Fonts are very small in places and some contrast levels are poor but zoom works well and if viewed in text only style the site is still usable. Additional accessibility features for videos have to be added prior to uploading to the service.

# Test Score Summary
Login, Signup and Other Forms Accessible Good Most form labels are present. A ReCapcha system is used which aims to provide an accessible alternative for screenreader users. However both the audio and visual output may cause difficulties for some users.
Image ALT Attributes Excellent Alternative text is offered for all critical images on the site - screenreader users will be able to understand the content as clearly as others.
Link Target Definitions Excellent All links, including images which would otherwise be ambiguous, have titles to uniquely identify them.
Frame Titles and Layout Excellent No frames, which can be disorientating for screen-readers, are used in the design. Some iframes are used, however they are titled.
Removal of Stylesheet Excellent The page is still understandable and functional when it is viewed as a linear document, with no styles.
Audio/Video Features Fair This site offers a text description for its multimedia items. Videos have to have captioning included before uploading.
Video/animations - audio descriptions Fair This site offers a text description for its multimedia items. Audio descriptions have to be part of the videos before uploading to the service.
Appropriate use of Tables Excellent Tables are not used for the design of this website.
Tab Orderings Correct and Logical Excellent Tab order is in a logical and consistent top-to-bottom or left-to-right format.
Page Functionality with Keyboard Excellent The website is fully accessible without the use of a mouse. It can, however, be difficult to see where tab focus is, which could cause some difficulties.
Accessibility of Text Editors Fair This site has no rich text editor.
Appropriate Feedback with Forms Good No time restrictions, but poor feedback when validating account.
Contrast and Colour Check Fair Main menu buttons exhibit poor contrast. Some colour combinations such as green text on white background may be uncomfortable for some users.
Page Integrity when Zooming Excellent The website maintains the layout and usability of all critical areas perfectly when zoomed.
Text size, style, blinking elements and Readability Fair Particularly small text prevalent throughout the site, which may be difficult to view without zooming the page. Sans-serif fonts used, and there is no flashing or blinking content.
