Accessibility Testing Results

This service can be used for designing other Web 2.0 Services. The amount of customisation available is good, but the level of accessibility depends largely on the modules that the site administrator has chosen to install. The default modules and theme have good accessibility overall.

# Test Score Summary
Login, Signup and Other Forms Accessible Excellent User login form simple and clear.
Image ALT Attributes Excellent Images are generally uploaded by users - there is a description form for alt tags.
Link Target Definitions Excellent Built-in Drupal links are well-labelled; any other links are the responsibility of the site administrator.
Frame Titles and Layout Excellent No frames used.
Removal of Stylesheet Excellent The pages generated by built-in modules generally linearise well without their stylesheets.
Audio/Video Features Good Video and audio can have additional transcriptions as part of the text content.
Video/animations - audio descriptions Good Video and audio can have additional transcriptions as part of the text content.
Appropriate use of Tables Excellent Tables present in the system vary depending on the modules installed, but few are user-facing. Those that are encountered in the default installation are well-designed and appropriate.
Tab Orderings Correct and Logical Good Tab order logical throughout, though no 'skip to content' links are available.
Page Functionality with Keyboard Excellent Keyboard access appears to be good when working with the default set-up
Accessibility of Text Editors Good It is possible to tab in and out of the TinyMCE rich text editor if that has been chosen as a module and use the main menu controls with access keys but adding images etc is difficult with keyboard alone.
Appropriate Feedback with Forms Excellent All form feedback is appropriate with for example error messages appearing above the item that is missing etc. There are no time restrictions.
Contrast and Colour Check Excellent Site developers can choose the colours required - the default theme is sky blue with white and has good contrast. Browser defined colour changes work well.
Page Integrity when Zooming Excellent Zooming works well in all browsers.
Text size, style, blinking elements and Readability Excellent The look and feel of the websites developed in Drupal depend on the theme chosen by the site administrator. Default font sizes tend to be size 10
