Accessibility Testing Results
This is a fun site to add images, videos, audio and text but sadly it is not very accessible to a keyboard or screen reader user. Captions and audio descriptions cannot be added. Drag and drop and a lack of accessible text has affected the scores. Flash features are well designed but once again this mean that features can not be reached without a mouse or the slow use of Mousekeys.
| # | Test | Score | Summary |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Login, Signup and Other Forms Accessible | ![]() |
It is a shame there is a Captcha as the rest of the register form is well labelled and easy to use with a keyboard. Even when you make mistakes the screen reader can access the error comments. |
| 2 | Image ALT Attributes | ![]() |
It is possible to add tags to any images that are added to the poster but not when they are shapes or features that are part of the drawing tools. |
| 3 | Link Target Definitions | ![]() |
Links are short and to the point. All are appropriate and the main ones remain available wherever you are in the application. |
| 4 | Frame Titles and Layout | ![]() |
There is one outer iframe but this does not affect the use of the site with NVDA. |
| 5 | Removal of Stylesheet | ![]() |
Top navigation menu disappears to the bottom of the page which is not helpful to screen reader users as they have to work through all the other items first. |
| 6 | Audio/Video Features | ![]() |
Video and audio may be added but it is not possible to add any text at the same time as uploading the video. However, text can be added separately but it is not keyboard or screen reader accessible. |
| 7 | Video/animations - audio descriptions | ![]() |
Audio descriptions can be added separately to the images and video etc. but the controls are not always accessible to a screen reader or keyboard user. |
| 8 | Appropriate use of Tables | ![]() |
The pages do not have tables and the keyboard user can navigate around the outside of the Flash objects. |
| 9 | Tab Orderings Correct and Logical | ![]() |
Tab ordering is good but fails when within the Flash Object unless the user has been able to select one item with a mouse or use mousekeys. |
| 10 | Page Functionality with Keyboard | ![]() |
The Flash editors and player require mouse use and there is the requirement to drag and drop some graphics to develop the poster. |
| 11 | Accessibility of Text Editors | ![]() |
Text can be added to shapes that are placed on the poster. The edit form is not accessible |
| 12 | Appropriate Feedback with Forms | ![]() |
Feedback for forms that are accessible is good and when something is developed for the poster it can be seen as it is placed. |
| 13 | Contrast and Colour Check | ![]() |
There are good contrast levels for the page as it is designed by the developers but when users design and share there own posters there are no control for good contrast levels. |
| 14 | Page Integrity when Zooming | ![]() |
The pages zoom well and text is clear. |
| 15 | Text size, style, blinking elements and Readability | ![]() |
Font sizes are good around the site but those on the user generated posters can be chosen from a long list and be of any size. |
