Web 2.0 Service
Test Average: 40%
Updated 10 August 2009

Description

Web-based video chat application, which can connect with unregistered users and be used for conferences without cost. Email links invite chat participants. Users can maintain a list of friends they chat with regularly in a similar way to Skype and if you want to make it available all the time there is an add-on for Firefox and a desktop download. There is a video as an introduction otherwise it may help to go to the About pages to learn more.

Accessibility Testing Results

As the whole page uses Flash once you are logged in, none of the elements are seen in a text only browser such as WebbIE. It is not keyboard accessible and zoom cannot be used in many places. The site has good colour contrast levels and easy to read text. This could be a very useful free video chat system but it would have helped to have had a step by step help page rather than the short video available.
